Mr Simon Grodski
I was born in Melbourne in 1974. I grew up in Brighton and now live with my family in Caulfield. I graduated from Monash University Medicine with Honours in 1997. I did my surgical training at The Alfred Hospital and passed my General Surgical Fellowship exam in 2004. I spent two years doing further specialist training in Endocrine Surgery, working with some of Australia's leading endocrine surgeons.
I married my wife Lindsay in 2000 and we have three children. Emily was born in 2002, Asher in 2005 and April in 2010.
I have a keen interest in clinical research and was one of the foundation members of the Monash University Endocrine Surgery Unit – an academic unit with the goal of promoting excellence in endocrine surgical practice and research. I regularly publish research in local and international medical journals as well as presenting research at local and international scientific meetings. I also keep up to date with the latest research in the world wide literature as well as regularly attending endocrine surgery meetings to ensure that I stay abreast of the latest advances and techniques in endocrine surgery.
By the way, I am happy for you to call me "Simon", "Dr. Grodski" or "Mr. Grodski".
